Nashua Woman Arrested on Forgery Charges
Wendy Holden allegedly cashed more than $1,500 in stolen checks, police said.
Wendy Holden, 51, of 29 Kinsley St., Nashua, was arrested Feb. 17 on a warrant charging her with Forgery, a class B Felony; Theft By Deception, a class A felony; and Theft of Services, a class A misdemeanor.
Police said on January 16, 2012, a report was made alleging that since 2009, Holden had stolen at least six personal checks from a person known to her. Holden reportedly forged the checking account owner’s name and either paid bills or cashed the checks at a local bank. The total value of the theft exceeded $1,500, resulting in the felony theft by Deception – Consolidation charge.
Holden was also charged with Theft of Services, a class A Misdemeanor for failing to pay a hotel bill.

A Misdemeanor Class A is punishable by up to one in year jail exclusive of fines. A Felony class B is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment exclusive of fines. A Felony class A is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment exclusive of fines. Holden was released on $10,000.00 personal recognizance bail pending arraignment in Nashua District Court on March 7, 2012.
