13-Year-Old Student Arrested for Pulling Knife at School

The incident reportedly occurred around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly pulled a knife at Elm Street Middle School.

The boy was arrested around 1:45 p.m. after he pulled a knife, Nashua Police Sgt. Steve Sweeney said. "There were no injuries or anything like that," he added.

Sweeney said the boy was arrested by the school resource officer and charged with delinquent child criminal threatening. He will be given a court date and released to a family member.

Nashua School Superintendent Mark Conrad also confirmed that a student showed a knife, and that no one was injured. He said both the school and Nashua Police are pursuing appropriate action with the student.

"I'm not going to characterize it beyond that," he said. "I don't think any students were in any danger at any point in time."

Conrad said Elm Street School parents were notified of the incident via an automated telephone call.

"We think it's always the better course of action to make sure parents are aware of what's happening in school," he said.
