Pair Charged in TD Bank Robbery

Police say Richard Marquis jumped over the counter and grabbed cash from a teller, and Ashley Caron drove the get-away car.

Ashley Caron, 24, 76 Fairview Avenue, Nashua, and Richard Marquis, 22, 7 Jensen Street, Nashua, were arrested Nov. 18 by Nashua Police, charged with allegedly robbing the TD Bank on DW Highway in Nashua. 

Police said at about 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 18 report of an armed robbery came in from TD Banknorth, 225 DW Highway. A white male, wearing dark clothing and something covering his face brandished a knife and demanded cash. At one point during the robbery the suspect jumped the teller counter and began to grab cash. He jumped back over the counter and fled the bank. Several observant customers and bystanders observed the fleeing suspect and made note that he had entered a silver Toyota Scion. The information was given to patrol officers and surrounding jurisdictions. 

At approximately 8:40 a.m. patrol officers spotted a car matching the suspect vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed northbound on the FE Everett Turnpike in the area of Exit 7. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Exit 8. At the time of the stop a male subject was identified as Marquis and the driver as Caron. Both were taken into custody a short time later.

Marquis is charged with: one count of Armed Robbery, a class A felony; and Caron is charged with one count of Criminal Liability to Armed Robbery, also a class A felony. Both are being held at the Nashua Police Department until their arraignment in the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua Division on 19 November 2013.
