Snow Leads to Crashes Across Southern NH
Area police are reporting the road conditions are extremely poor.
Update: 2:30 p.m. Lots of problems being reported on the hill at Spitbrook Road and DW Highway, emergency crews calling for sand trucks to assist in moving traffic, which is currently stopped "dead" according to emergency relays.
City buses and cabs have stopped operation at this point, according to Southern NH Emergency Alerts.
Original story: Snow-covered roads led to numerous accidents across southern New Hampshire on Saturday morning as snow continues to fall.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory, which calls for 3 to 5 inches of snow in Nashua, heavy at times in the afternoon hours.
At 11:30 a.m., an accident was reported on Route 125 in Kingston. There was no word on injuries. Around that same time, a car versus pole occurred in the area of 10 Crane Crossing Road in Plaistow. Two people were reportedly injured.
Accidents were also reported on the Spaulding Turnpike in Portsmouth, on Route 121A in Sandown, on Bennett Way in Newmarket, on Route 27 in Epping, on Sandown Road in Hampstead and on Broad Street in Nashua.
