Forum: Candidates for Alderman Talk the Talk

The top three vote-getters on Election Day will represent you as Aldermen at Large.

About 50 residents attended a forum at City Hall on Thursday night, which brought together just about all of the candidates running for Alderman in Nashua.

The event was organized by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, and moderated by Chamber President Christopher Williams.

All six candidates for At-Large Aldermen attended. Ward 1 candidate, Alderman Kathy Vitale was unable to attend due to the death of her father. Her opponent, Sean McGuinness, arrived late and chose not to join the forum, but watched from the audience.

"I had to work late, and I arrived about 45 minutes late and didn't want to interrupt," McGuinness explained, after the event wrapped up at about 8 p.m.

Ward 7 candidate, Alderman June Caron, is running unopposed, and did not participate. Ward 9 candidate Ken Siegel sent his apologies via Williams, who explained that Siegel had tickets to the Boston Red Sox in Game 2 of the World Series.

We've uploaded the introductions for the six Alderman At Large candidates with this story.
