Gate City Chronicles Guest -Djinn Spirits

The American dream is still alive in Nashua. Today's guest on Gate City Chronicles Djinn Spirits a new distillery in Nashua New Hampshire!

  Djinn Spirits is a craft distillery located in Nashua, New Hampshire. First, the "D" is silent, so the name is pronounced "gin spirits". Our production is ramping through several phases that allow for initial low-volume runs of gin and white whiskey while always focusing on achieving a superior product. We opened Dec 7 with on site tastings, sales, and distillery tours for those interested. These should be fun and informative, so shoot me an email and plan to visit us! Once steady sales have been achieved, we'll start barrel aging our Whiskey and release a couple of new antique flavors. So as soon as we can get the barrels rolling, we'll be releasing some “mature” spirits. Eventually, we'll have product in the NH State Liquor system, but for now, it's only available at the distillery.

Djinn Spirits is the creation of Andy and Cindy Harthcock. After 30 years in engineering, plus Master's degrees in Computer Engineering and Engineering Management, Andy wanted to step outside corporate life. And after a full career in Nursing, Cindy was ready for something new as well. They searched for several years until that one day when Cindy mentioned "distilling would be fun..." And that did it. They found a way to combine their love for the aesthetics of taste with the creative technical side. Distillation provides not only 2000 years of lore, but the chance to use some very new technology. Yeah, we're jazzed.

So now we have our federal and state licenses, got a few runs of the still under our belts, and we even have a couple of products we're really happy with. Hope to see you soon!
