Convicted Sex Offender Makes a Deal

Travis O'Hearn will serve two-to-four years for raping a teenager.

Former Temple Street resident Travis O'Hearn, charged in October with raping a teenage girl, pleaded guilty Friday  to two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault of a minor in exchange for a two-to-four year sentence and a plea deal that includes dropping other charges against him, the Nashua Telegraph reports.

O’Hearn tried to persuade Judge Diane Nicolosi that he was incompetent to stand trial, asking that all charges be dismissed after arguing his competency evaluation took too long, according to court documents.

Despite having a previous conviction as a sex offender, O’Hearn has not been included on the state's sex offender registry. He will now have to register as a sexual offender or offender against children, according to court documents.
